FOR PANAMA.
Refiown . Sails on Next Stage of Voyage. CHEERING CROWDS. KIXGSTOX (Jamaica), January 24. The battle-cruiser Renown, with the Duke and Duchess of York on board, moved out of Kingston Harbour early yesterday morning, bound for Colon, Panama. The departure of the ship was far more simple than her arrival. Salutes from the warships in the harbour barely disturbed the Sabbath quiet. Crowds watched from the shore and the ultimate touch of enthusiasm and cheering came from a group of young negroes on the beach at Port Royal. From that point the shore battery fired a last salute. The Royal party attended church service in the forecastle yesterday naming. Owing to unpleasant weather conditions all present had to stand. While the ship was at Kingston a full sports programme was conducted. This included a Soccer match, which was lost, a water polo match, and a relay swimming race, which were both won by the Renown. The ship's marines beat the Army in a light-weight tug-o'-war. The officers and men of the Renown also joined in football and cricket matches, Navy versus the Army.
