POLICE COURT.

(Before Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M.) BROKE HIS ORDER. Charles Henry Kevey (35) had to answer charges of being found drunk in Queen Street yesterday, procuring liquor while prohibited, and for being found on licensed premises after hours. On each of the first two charges he was fined £1 or three days, while he was convicted and discharged on the third. REMANDED FOB SENTENCE. Charges of stealing a pair of hinges valued at 3/9, a clothes wringer and tools, etc., of a total value of £4 8/9 were preferred against Robert Lees (3G), who pleaded guilty. In asking for a remand until December 31, Senior-Sergeant Edwards stated that some of the stolen property was dug up in'accused's garden last evening. The police desired to make further inquiries about accused. The remand was granted.
