ORANGE DRINKS.
EFFECT OX ISLAND INDUSTRY
The Big Orange Drink, Ltd.. a company which has just been registered in Auckland, Is making preparations to extend its operation*. Already it possesses three shops, formerly owned by Messrs. Johnston Bros., at which orange drinks are dispensed, and another is to be opened immediately in Queen Street, between the Princess and Majestic Theatres. According to Mr. Harvey Turner, managing director of the firm of Turner and Growers, the development* anticipated are likely to have a distinct effect in fostering Island trade, as the oranges from the Islands bave been found most suitable for the requirements of this business. NEW COMPANIES. TWO PRIVATE REGISTRATIONS. Two new private companies were registered at Auckland yesterday. The particulars are:— Kelly and Rattray, Limited, boot and shoo manufacturers. Capital £1500. Subscribers: Edward Kelly 300 share*, William John Rattray 300 shares, Joseph Ashley 300 shares, Herbert Louis Frith 300 shares, Ernest Louis Jouning 300 shares. Ltd., London, dated December 22:—Danish butter, 178/ to 182/; New Zealand, first grade, salted, 170/ to 172/; stored, 160/ to 164/. Market quiet. New Zealand cheese, white and coloured, 95/ to 96/; Canadian cheese, 94/ to 98/; market slow. METALS. LONDON, December 22.
