SKARPE BROTHERS.
THE LARGEST GALLON JAR FIRM IN" THE WORLD. A visit to Sharpe Bros.' Temperance Brewery, at Disraeli Street, Grey Lynn, will find all hands very busy fulfilling Christmas orders. It may not be generally known that Sharpe Brothers are the largest gallon jar firm in the -world. All drinks are manufactured from the best of materials and are recommended by the medical faculty, nurses, etc. The brewery is supervised by the proprietor of the Auckland branch, Mr. G. T. Puddle. Quality is the firm's slogan. At the invitation of Mr. Puddle a "Star" representative inspected the brewery. Built of concrete, it is equipped with every modern convenience necessary to enable the firm to deal with the everincreasing demand for these popular beverages, and no effort has been spared to make the premises sanitary, so as to give the public the purest of drinks. All water used in manufacture is well filtered, and all containers thoroughly sterilised by boiling water and subsequently dry-steamed before refilling. j It was the writer's next pleasure to inspect the large stores of ginger, hops, horehound, lemons and other herbs used in the manufacture of beverages which are now so well known in Auckland and Australia. It was indeed most gratifying to see only first-quality ingredients stocked, and to maintain this high standard of quality means special importations' by the firm. Sharpe Bros.' beverages have competed in five exhibitions and have gained first prize each time. What a record! Five exhibitions give first prizes! | The great and increasing popularity of these beverages causes a tremendous . rush at Christmas time, and customers ' are advised to place their Christmas orders right away in order to ensure supplies. Hundreds were disappointed last year through failure to order in advance. You like a "sharp" drink! Then drink "Sharpe's" drinks—they make you feel glad you are thirsty. There is one point which the management desires to impress upon customers. Jars are only lent, and the public are warned against detaining them for their own use, and are advised to read the warning printed on the jar. Last, but not least, will customers please refrain from allowing their children to play with the jars, for on many occasions, when jars have been returned, they have been found to contain various kinds of foreign matter, and in a large number of cases have had to be destroyed for safety's sake. By returning yotir jars in good order, you will 'be assisting us, just as we in turn make it our constant endeavour to give our customers fullest satisfaction and value in return for their patronage.
