HIGH-GRADE ENGINEERING.

WORK OF AUCKLAND FIRM. A continued service in high-grade Engineering has served to build up an enviable reputation for the firm of Mason and Porter, Ltd., engineers, iron and brass founders, Cleveland Road, Parneil. Established in 1910 in a very smalb way, employing only one man and a boy, the firm has made steady progress, employing now a large and competent staff in their various departments. The firm has gained no mean reputation in the motor racing world, both on water and on land. The engine of the boat Miss Masport (now in Australia), having been designed and built entirely in their works and the work v done on the Stutz car, winner of this year's New Zealand championship at Muriwai, reflect favourably on their ability as motor engineers and specialists in cylinder regrinding and manufacturers of pistons, gears, and motor parts. The firm has a great reputation as manufacturers of stationary oil engines for farm use and vacuum pumps and parts for milking machines. They are also very well-known for their highgrade castings in iron, bronze and aluminium for machine parts and also architectural and ornamental work. The high standard of the work put out served to bring the firm into touch with an ever-widening connection. This standard has been kept intact and is reflected in the work at present turned out by the firm.
