LINERS' WORLD CRUISE.
CARINTHIA ON MONDitY NEXT ENTERTAINMENT OF THE TOURISTS. FRANCONIA DUE IN FEBRUARY. In the course of her second world cruise, the magnificent Cunard liner Carinthia is due to arrive at Auckland at 0 o'clock on Monday morning next. On board the steamer are about 400 tourists, mostly Americans, including several financial magnates. As soon as the ship berths about 8 o'clock, a party of 200 tourists will leava by special train for Rotorua, arriving at their destination early in the afternoon. Those passengers not making the Rotorua trip will be taken on a sightseeing tour through the city and suburbs in the morning, and a number of them will attend the first day's racing of the Auckland Racing Club's summer meeting at Ellerslie in the afternoon. They yvill leave for Rotorua early on the following morning, while the other party will return to Auckland on Tuesday evening. The two parties will rejoin at Auckland on Wednesday evening, when the Carinthia is to sail for Wellington. Tourists visiting Rotorua will be given the option of breaking their journey on the way back at the Waitomo Caves and proceeding overland to Wellington. The Carinthia is due at Wellington on the morning of New Year's Eve, and is to sail the same evening for Hobart. • Hancock and Co., Ltd., are the local agents for tho charterers of the ship. Messrs. Raymond Whitcombe and Co., of Boston, while the Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Co. will act as agents for the owners. The Franconia, a sister ship to the Carinthia, is due to arrive at Auckland on February 18. She also has been chartered for a world cruise.
