MAORI FOOTBALLERS.
THE PUBLIC LIKE THEM. TOUR A FINANCIAL SUCCESS. (Received 11.30 a.m.) LONDON, November 19. It is expected the Maori footballers' tour will be a financial success. The gates have been fairly good despite the coal strike, though the Welsh gates were somewhat affected. The French Federation anticipates that the tour will cost between £12,000 and £13,000. The first half of the tour in France realised £4000. The games iv England and Wales are expected to realise £6000, thus, taking into account the improvement in the exchange, the federation should make £1000 profit, though much depends on the final match.
