Merry Day and Kalakaua Jumped away at the seven furlong post on the graaa, but Kalakaua dropped behind Merry Day and finished a long way in front in 137. Talllsker and Oscillation cantered down from the four furlong barrier on the course proper. TalUsker waa anxious to increase the pace.

Le Choucas and Tea Bell pleased In galloping five furlongs in 1.3, the last half mile taking 50s. Seatown and Avola were together at the end of half a mile in 49 4-ss. •

Roues and Essential, on the. erase, sprinted five furlongs in I.BJ. The two-year-old Marsurd. by Absurd from Marsuma, took 56s to ru nhalf a mile. Beacon Light, Rascal, Father O'Flynn and Polydectes have arrived, and were" on the track. Beacon Light appears to be all right and will be a starter tomorrow in the Wellington Handicap.
