Quotations, nominally, 6/6, with neither buyers nor sellers operating-. Flour.—F.o.b. export, £14 5/; local quotation. £15 IoA '• Oats.—Tasmanlan Algerian, 5/; white, Maize.—Local and Soutn African, 7/. Potatoes.—Tasmanian. e\i to £20- N»\v Zealand, £ll ; local, £16 to £30. Onions. —American, £26; Victorian, £?.o. Adelaide prices were:— Wheat.—Growers' lots, 5/n to c/----parcels, trade, 6/3}. Flour.—Bakers' lots, £15. Oats.—3/. SYDNEY WOOL SALES. SYDNEY, OctoDer 21. At the Sydney wool sales to-day the market ruled Hrm Tor nner descriptions or fleece.. Skirtings were at the level or previous sales. Comebacks and crossbreds made full late rates. Greasy Merino sold to 28jd. LONDON TALLOW BALEB. LONDON, October 20. At the London tallow sales 146S casks were offered and' 586 sold. Prions were unchanged. OOLD AND SILVER. LONDON, October 20. Gold is quoted in London to-day'at 84/ 11 id per ounce. Owing: to mc rail In the price or silver, the Bank or France has temporarily withdrawn its offer to citizens to purchase silver coin in exchange ror ndtea, and is accepting only poid.
