The grand total of Canadian trade for the twelve months ended July 31 last shows an increase of 403,750,381 dollars over the total for the preceding year. Canada's trade amounted to 2,327,199,----145 dol, while for the previous twelve months the total was 1,923,448,764 dol. Kxports during the year readied a total value of 1,357,007,014 dol. Imports during the same period wi<'e lo the value of 1169,291,231 dol. In the preeediiu; year, exports totalled 1,105.705,722 dol," while imports totalled 817,083,042 dol.
The United Kingdom was Cuia-J&'s best customer. Exports to th* United Kingdom during that period totalled 512,064322 dol, while imports from Ifce United Kingdom amounted in value to 163.349,513 dol.
: The United Sfcatea wos th-j Dominiou's second best customer, exports to tiiat country during the twelve months ended July 31, totalling 473,136,407 dol. In the same period, imports from the United States amounted in ralnn *:o 642,9G4,188 dol.
