HEAVY BEEF CATTLE. RTGH PRICES FOR DAIRY STOCK. (From Our Own Correspondent.) MORRINSVILLE, Saturday. At tbe Farmers' Auctioneering Company's usual fortnightly stock sale at Morrinsville yesterday there was a large yarding of rat cattle, a total or 124 rat bullocks being penned. Some or them were or a particularly heavy type and sold up to £15 10/. The price per 1001b (36/) showed little change rrom that or the previous sale. A pen of heavy rat cows sold at £13 7/6. Young stock also sold well, a pen or good quality 15 months Jersey heirers bringing 6gns. There was an increased demand ror dairy cattle, anything close to profit, and showing the slightest promise or making good bringing good prices. The prices are: — Beef: Prime heavy bullocks £14 5/ to £15 10/, lighter, £12 to £14 2/6; prime heavy cows, £13 7/6; others, £6 to £10; rorward cows, £4 to £5 12/6; empty cows, £2 7/6 to £4 16/; stores, £1 10/ to £2 7/6 ; rough sorts, £1 to £1 5/; 2-year to 2*-year steers, £5 to £5 15/; 18 months steers, £.-) 13/ to £4 5/; empty 2-year heifers, £3 to £4. Dairy cattle; Best heirers, £10 lo £15; others, £7 10/ to £9 10/; poorer and backward, £3 10/ to £4 15/ ; good cows, close to profit, £12 15/ to £16; others, £7 10/ to £8 10/; backward, £3 to £3 15/. Sheep: Fat ewes, 22/6; rat hoggets, 26/3.
