INJURIES TO WORKER, i HIS CONDITION SERIOUS. ' ——— ~TI (By Telegraph—Special to "Star.") *[ CHKISTCHURCH, this day. While strapped to an electric craneforty feet from the ground at the railway workshops at Addington yesterday afternoon, Thomas William Newton (28) received an electric shock of such severity as to render him unconscious. Other men working with him brought ■ the unconscious man down, and he was admitted to hospital, where his condition i was found to be serious. Last night. Mr. Newton had shown a . little improvement, but was conscious only at intervals.
