CHRISTCHURCH, this day

Commissioner J. Hoggard, for the past four years head of the Salvation Army in New Zealand, who leaves for London in about three weeks' time, pay a a warm tribute to the manner in which the work of the Army is supported by the people of New Zealand.

Referring.to the growth of the organisation in New Zealand, he also expresses appreciation of the work of the Army's officers. "I have," he says, "one big thought of gratitude to those toilers in onr Army who live a life of sacrifice and hardship in ministry for others."
