POLAND AND RUMANIA.
A DEFENSIVE TREATY.
VTEXNA.. June 20.
Surprise has been created by an announcement which was made at a conference of the Little Entente Powers to the effect that Rumania has concluded a treaty of defence with Poland.
The treaty provides for mutual protection against Soviet aggression on the Polish frontier and the Bessarabi&n border.
The Czecho-Slovakian and Yugoslavian Ministers said they took cognisance of the matter, but that they would reserve judgment upon It.—(A. and and N.Z.)
