BOWLING.

ROCKY NOOK CLUB. ANNUAL MEETING. The annual general meeting was held on Wednesday evening, when the retiring president, Mr. W. 11. Keatley, presided over a good attendance. The annual report showed that.the membership had Increased by 15 during the past year. The club bad secured the services of Mr. H. A. Adams as greenkeeper, who was doing good work, and prospects for a good green nest season were bright. Special mention was made of the valuable services of Mr. John Bouskill, tbe green superintendent. The treasurer's balance-sheet showed the club to be in a satisfactory condition. Considerable discussion took place on toe system to be adopted during the coming season for club competitions, the vote favouring tbe sectional play. Disapproval of the champion four competition was expressed by members, and a resolution was passed instructing the delegates to the -Centre to oppose the competition. The club also decided to compete in the pennant matches only. Mr. George Gladding, who has been a member of the club for tbe past 20 years, was elected a life member. In moving the resolution, Mr. Keatley referred to the valuable services Mr. Gladding had. rendered In every office, including the presidency, : and also congratulated him- on his election to tbe Dominion Council and as* secretary of the Centre. The following officers , were elected:— President, Mr. A- H. Roylance; vice-presi-dents. Messrs. P H, Brown and Geo. Hunt; secretary, Mr. K. K. Mnlllns; treasurer. Mr. M. Berry: committee, Messrs. Stone. Bain, Clarke, Wakerley; match commitee, Messrs. Keatley, Wakerley, Kent; delegates to Centre, Messrs. Roylance, Clarke, Finch; green superintendent, Mr. John Buskin (reelected); first year's coach, Mr. J. M. Wakerley; umpire, Mr. _. Kayes.
