MOTOR BUS REGULATIONS.
(To the Editor.)
Sir,—l read with interest in the report of the council meeting in the "Star" of the 11th inst., a proposal by Gallagher's Bus Company to the City Council that they will withdraw their three buses from the Richmond Road run on condition that the City Council withdraw their three buses engaged on the Point Chevalier Beach service. For many years the Point Chevalier ratepayers have suffered from inadequate services ! and high fares. A short time back the City Council gave us three buses for the service here, and made our concession tickets 3/3 per week, which is 9d cheaper than the private buses were charging. We have benefited by tne council and we don't want to lose this service. Residents should bestir themseives before it is too late.—l am, etc., j WAKE UP POINT.
