A decree nisi was granted in the .Supreme Court in the petition of Edgar Maunering Stpvens, storekeeper, of Gis- , borne, against Frances Ellen Stevens, on the ground of desertion. Petitioner stated that hie wife was considerably olde» than himself, and that she deserted him and refused to return, declaring that the disparity in ages was too great, and that she did not want to hamper his future. She was a widow with two children when he married her. An order for restitution of conjugal rights was granted to Carl Johann Sveneon against Carlie Eva Svenson. Petitioner said thing 3 went well for a couple oi months after the marriage. Then relatives started to interfere, and whenever they were present, he became an outsider, and finally she grew to dislike him because he was a foreigner. The wife was ordered to return within 28 days.
