FANCY DRESS BALL.

The Savoy Dance Club held its fancy dress ball on Tuesday at the Zealandia Hall, Dominion Road. The big crowd present fully appreciated the numerous novelties and dances which were supplied during the evening. Miss Baker gave an exhibition. Charleston and coster dance, while Mr. >'. Booth, late of Sydney, danced the hula witn all the grace and charm of a real Hawaiian. On account of the many pretty and clever costumes worn, the committee were sorely tried to pick the winners, but eventually the following were chosen:—Best couple: Mr. Haswell, Miss Simpson. Best costumes; Mr. Booth, Miss Shean. Most orizinaJ- Mr. 'Frost, Miss Whitney. The "Californian Three" were fully appreciated in all rlie latest hits.
