(By Cable.—Press Association.—Op.vrlul-.t.i (Received 12.30 p.m.) LONDON, June 11. The coal stoppage is almost forgotten in the heat of the cricket fever in Nottinghamshire, which is the more remarkable in that there are five collieries within the boundaries of the city. The ground is in perfect order., and the wicket is stated to be fast. There was a shower at 12.30 p.m.. but if no more rain falls the wicket will be hard and fast.— (A. and N.Z.)
NEWS ON SUNDAY. PUBLICATION IN "STAR"' EXTRA. A cablegram supplying news of the first Test match between England and Australia will be received on Sunday between 5 p.m. and 5.30 p.m., and will be posted on our notice board in front of the Shortland Street entrance.
