I Wheat: There is a fair demand for cargoes near at hand, hut business Is .slow. "bullish reports from Washing-ton being already discounted. Parcels are in quiet request, with an occasionally better demand, sales Deing made at rrom SS/G to 60/. Liverpool rutures are quoted as roitow: July, 11/05 per cental; October, 10/3}. The wool sales closed llrm for the latter iart of the series. The market, by good ittendance, growing confidence and comletition by Continental buyers, was active .hroughoul. The Yorkshire trade buyers llso operated more freely during: the closing week, but the United states demand was :onspiruously absent. Merinos and greasy closed strong, sometimes live per cent above Hie April opening prices. Scoureds were somewhat erratic with frequent withdrawals, bin prices generally were in sellers' favour. Average to faulty combing sorts showed a fully 5 per cent advance. Fine crossbredwere firm, while medium and lower grades were generally about ~> per cent down. Lambs' wool was in active demand. Merinos showing fully a 5 per cent advance. Crossbreds ranged from par to an advance of 5 per cent. The top and average prices for the New Zealand "Mangatot" clip were respectively liid and 13Jd. The Bradrord tops market shows a slightly better tone in Merinos as a resujt or the firmness or Hie London market. Quotations are unchanged. Dalgety and Company, Ltd., report having received the following cablegram from their London house, dated loth instant:— Wool sales closed. Attendance of buyers good. Competition good ror most descriptions. The Continent are principal operators. As compared with closing rate or last series, greasy Merinos unchanged; scoured Merinos unchanged; greasy hairbred unchanged; greasy crossbred, line, id to ud lower; greasy crossbred medium. Id to lid lower; greasy crossbred, coarse. Id lower; greasy crossbred pieces and bellies unchanged; scoured crossbred, fine. Id to 2d higher; scoured crossbred medium and coarse, unchanged; slips unchanged; Merino lambs Id higher; crossbred lambs, id to Ud lower. OfTered 117,910 bales, Including 35.700 New Zealand, :(USO Cape, 2:5,P00 South American, 7 1,000 colonial, 24,500 South American; sundry sold. Continent has bought 01,000, home trade 33,000, America IUOO, carried forward ii 1,000, of which 3 1,500 not offered. Merino good to super, 221 dto 23d; low to medium, to 211(1; hairbred, 56/58, good to super, .'Ud to 24d; low to medium, lSd to 20Jd; hairbred 50/56, good to super. DAIRY PRODUCE. LONDON, June 10. The butter market lias firmed. It is believed there has been some speculative buying. New Zealand choicest suited and nnsalied are quoted at' 170/ to 17s/Australian, choicest salted and •misalted, 172/ to 17 i; Danlsli, 1 SO/.
