WIFE BOUND OVER.
FLOUTED THE LAW. HUSBAND IX FEAR. (.By Telegraph.—Tress Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. A remarkable case was dealt with at the Magistrate's Court to-day, when Florence Irene Frobisher, wife of James Godfrey Frobisher, licensee of the Albion Hotel, was charged on three counts of assaulting her husband, and of refusing to leave the premises when requested.
Another information stated that Air. Frobisher had cause lo four, and did fear, that his wife would do him bodily harm, wherefore he prayed that she he ordered to find sureties of the peace.
Air. Frobisher. in evidence, stated that there was a deed of separation which gave him custody of the child and made her an allowance, and which also forbade her to visit the hotel. This was dated May _7. She had several times since been in the hotel unci had used abusive language to him. hud struck him with her fist, and threw a telephone at him, injuring his eve. The police were called in and, on a threat to remove her. she left.
The wife's counsel said that she was only _.■). She had only gone to the hotel to see the child. 'Defendant denied the allegations of assault.
Mr. Page, S.M., said it that she had committed a serious assault, had iloute.l Hie separation order, and had flouted the Supreme Court. He ordered her to come up for sentence when called on within two years, and to be bronirht up for sentence if the police found her in the hotel.
This onle was made on the charge of refusing to leave. The other charges were adjourned sine die.
