OTAGO V. AUCKLAND. The first telegraphic match .of the season in connection with the Dominion intero'lub telegraphic chess tournament will be commenced on Monday evening between Auckland and Otago, and will take place, so far as Auckland is concerned, in the elubrooms. His Majesty's Arcade. The dub extends an invitation to all chess players and others interested to see how the '•royal" game is conducted over the "wires." Auckland were tbe winners last season, and are therefore tlie Management Committee in these matches for the ensuing year. About 110 hoards will be played, and tbe -Vuckland team will be as follows-— Messrs. Adkins. Arapofr'. Arlow. .1. Barker, R. Barker. Coyne. A. Fotherinsham. Friedlander, Grierson. Ilastie. Jones.
