CHEQUE FRAUDS.
AN OLD OFFENDER

GISBORNE, this day,
Thomas Francis Hill, a recent arrival from Auckland, against whom 21 convictions have been recorded in twenty years, was sentenced at the Police Court to six months' imprisonment ou two charges of fraudulently obtaining goods by means of valueless cheques.
