Spiers (London), arrived from Wellington this morning. They are at the Grand. A Press Association telegram gaye that the Misses R. and M. Tripp, of Timarn, will be presented at Court on June 9. Dr. T. H. A. Valintine, DirectorGeneral of Health, arrived from North Auckland yesterday, and left for Wellington by the Limited last evening. i Mr. J. D. Gray, secretary for External Affairs, who returned to Auckland; yesterday by the Hinemoa, leaves by this evening's express for Wellington. Among the guests at the Central Hotel are Mr. W. H. Besley (New Plymouth), Mr. Gibb Brown (Palmerston North), Mr. P. Caley (Te Kuiti), Mr. Wilfred Johnstone (Te Kuiti), Lieut.-Colonel Andrews (Paeroa.) I Mr. V. T.
