DARGAVILLE'S DESIRE.
MAIN TRUNK CONNECTION.
REQUEST TO PREMIER
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.)
DARGAVILLE, this day
At a very largely attended meeting of representatives of the Dargaville district last night, presided over by the Mayor, it was decided to wire the Prime Minister to have the Dargaville branch railway linked up with the North Auckland Main Trunk line as soon as possible, also to ask him whether when arriving at Dargaville at the end of May he would receive a deputation on the question. The arranging of the deputation was left to the Mayor, the chairman of the Hobson County Council, the president of the Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Jones, M.P. for Marsden, and the Farmers' Union at Waimamaku.
