»■ ■■ . THREE BREACHES ALLEGED. CHARGES AGAINST YOUNG MAN. At the Supremo Court this morning, before Mr. .lustice Hcrdman and a jury, a young man. Hugh (o\- Smith (Mr. I*. B. Fitzherbcrt i was charged with throe alleged breaches of the Bankruptcy Act. In "outlining tin* cisc for the Crown, Mr. Paters..n >aid that it would I>C alleged that accused did not keep proper books, and that he obtained credit from two persona by falsely representing tluit ho had a partner in the business when ho had not. Accused had been in business for some seven months as a fruiterer, lie started with a capital of fl.'iO. and at the end of seven months owed over £.">OO. His assets realised £.")0. and the creditors would receive !,_ in the f. Guy V. Norris. chief clerk in the Official Assignee's office, said that accused had been trading as the Auckland Fruit Company, and was adjudicated a bankrupt on December IS last. There were no secured creditors. To Mr. Fitzherbert: The assets which realised £5(1 included two motor lorries, scales, book debts, and sundries. Ha knew that accused had been involved in litigation. The case is proceeding.
