During the twelve months ended March 31 last, eight more States have adopted a tax on motor.spirit, the present: position being that out of 49 American States, no fewer than 45 find it practicable and advantageous to secure a tangible proportion of their road expenditure from a tax on motor fuel. The band of the Cbldstream Guards is to pay a visit to Canada during the summer.
