ART GALLERY HOURS.

(To the Editor.) Sir„—Might I respectfully suggest that the hours of the Art Gallery be extended by one hour. Under the present system it is open from 10.30 to 4.30, which seems to mc unreasonable, as quite a number of people, especially workers, are thus barred from seeing our collection. Quite a number of us have, to wait for buses, or trains, but it seems that we are not taken into account. The authorities may say, " There is the library," but unfortunately they forget we are not all literary. They also seem to think, that ,0-nly the wealthy and refined can tell good paintings, but there are plenty of us who can appreciate good works better than they. Hence my suggestion that the closing time be 5.30.—1 am, etc., WORKER.
