Mrs. Ellis, of Wisconsin, America fishing off Cape Brett, yesterday put up a record as regards lady anglers, by landing three large swordfish in one day the fish weighing 3401b, 3121b, and

These magnificent specimens made a great picture when hung up on the Russell wharf crane.

Other catches of swordfish afe: Mr. C. Weston, Auckland, 2901b; Mr Rishworth, VVhangarei, 3101b. The most of those caught were taken at Deep Water Cove. Telephone communication is interrupted between there and Russell
