Members of the Methodist Ladies' Guild tendered Mrs. 11. White a farewell afterpresenting her with a dressing table set. Rev. and JJrs. White and ftunily leave for Bulelutha next week, to which charge Mr. Whiio has been appointed. The following oifice-bearers were elected at the annual meeting of the Te Awamutu Ladies" Golf Club :—President, Mrs. G. Teasdale; secretary, Miss Focke ; committee, Mesdumea Preston, K. Jones and Skerniun, and Misses K. Wallace and K. Woolley; Match Committee, .Mesdames C. Bluudell J O'Sullivan and Miss Focke. The season is to be opened on 17th April.

Sawmill work is not plentiful in the-"dis-trict, but there is a good demand fur splitters and other bush workers. Many children in this part are suffering from measles, and the number absent from school in consequence is large.
