HEAVY WEATHER IN CANADA
VIOLENT WIND AND SNOW. NEW YORK, April 2. The most severe storm experienced for many years is sweeping Eastern Canada and the New England States. All the telegraph lines around Toronto and Montreal are down and communications are blocked. Heavy snow accompanied the gale, which is blowing at a velocity of 70 miles an hour.—("Sun.")
