HOLIDAY ACCIDENTS
A CAPSIZED DINGHY. WELLINGTON YOUTH DROWNED. I ' »By Telegraph.—iress Association.) WELLINGTON, Friday. A dinghy capsized off the Seatoun wharf to-day, and Joseph Didger, a resident of Seatoun, aged 19, was drowned. Two companions, Lawrie Dale and John McLean, were rescued by a motor boat. Didger was unable to swim. He was supported as long as possible by Dale. He was last seen clinging to the mast of the dinghy. His body lias not y3t been recovered. MAORI CYCLIST INJURED. COLLIDES WITH TRAMCAR. (Py Telegraph-—Press Association.) GISBORNE, Friday. A middle-aged Maori, Mungu Beattißi riding a motor cycle with a side-car at" tached. crashed into an oncoming tramcar last evening, and was removed ta the Cook Hospital suffering from a compound fracture of the leg.
