HENDY'S PERFORMANCE EQUALLED.
NAPIER CRICKETER'S 1000 RUNS. A rather remarkable coincidence has come to light in connection with W. Hendy's performance in scoring over a thousand runs for the season in the Auckland Suburban Cricket Association's competition. At the same time as Hendy had brought his score for the season up to 1014 runs, T. Reaney, of the Napier ±soys High School, had scored exactly the same number of runs in Napier This young player has been in great form with the bat all through the season in Hawke's Bay this year, and to carry the coincidence with Hendy's performance a step further, it is iiiterestin- to note that one of his not out scores "vas 157, the same as one of Hendy's century efforts. a '
