WATER PURIFICATION.

FUKEKOHE ORDERS NEW PLANT. (By Telegraph.—Owe Correspondent.) PUKEKOHE, this day. A special meeting of the Pukekohe Borough Council decided to instal a new liquid chlorinating plant to be used in connection with the borough water supply, both at Hickey's Springs and the powerhouse draw-well. The new system, which is expected to give more satisfactory results than hitherto will be placed on order with Messrs. J. J. Niven and Co., and will be installed as soon as possible. The Franklin Power Board is to be asked to give a quotation for the cost of pumping by electric power.
