BANK NOTE FORGERIES.
AN INDIGNANT FRENCHMAN. TOO ZEALOUS. PARIS, March 4. By appealing to the good sense of the members of the Chamber of Deputies, the Premier, M. Briand. secured the withdrawal of a proposal made by the Socialist, M. Blums, that the French delegates to Geneva should refuse to sit on the same Council as the Hungarian delegates, as an indication of dissatisfaction at the manner in which the banknote forgeries scandal is being cleared up. ! "We must not accuse the Hungarian people generally of being in a plot against France," said M Briand, "but we intend to see the guilty punished."—(A. and N.Z.) ~ " I
