ACCUSED'S IDENTITY. MELBOURNE, this day. According to Press reports the true name of the man sentenced a3 Robertson in the Almeida rase is Jame;Francis McMahon, who hails from New Zealand. Tt is stated that lie went to the war with a man named Robertson, whose papers disappeared subsequently, and he then passed himself off as Robertson. It is further stated that McMahon is an old prison escapee, and that his possession of a crooked nose led to l<is arrest in connection with the Almeida murder after he had evaded the police for over a year.— (A. and X.Z.
