MANUREWA TOWN BOARD.
Mr - c - H. Luptron ocenpied the chair at Tie meeting of the Town Board, the other members present being: Messrs. Gallaher, iawcett. MeCallum and Whj-te. A deputation from the Homai Ratepayers' Association attended to offer to assist in the planting of trees along Brown's Koad, Jellieoe Road and Mart's Road, also to Improve the Jellieoe Park and provide a playground for children. Tne deputation was requested to attend the next meeting, proposals in the meantime to be put in writing. A letter from the association n-as read, requesting improvements to .Jellieoe Road and was referred to the Works Committee Public Hall.—The committee handed in a report detailing renovations to the birilding, for which a tender foT £13 13/6 was received from Mr. F. J. Lipsham. This tender ■H-as accepted! The committee also recommended a scale of tariffs, but it was decided to defer the matter till next meetins. Deputation to Premier.—The other local bodies concerned having agreed to be represented. Messrs. Sexton and! Lupton were appointed as the board's delegates. Theatre License.—The clerk reported that the Papaknra Board were charging an annual fee of £5. It was resolved that this fee be adopted. South Road Footpath.—lt was decided -thut the remainder of the kerbine be completed.
