AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIPS. (By Teiegrapn.—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, this day. The final of the Otago amateur golf championship between G. F. Barnett (Otago) and "Brown" (Dr. K. Ross, of Otago), was played on Saturday over 36 holes. The links were sodden as the result of heavy rain which started early in the morning. At the end of the first 18 holes, Barnett waft one up. The afternoon's play was keen in spite of the bad conditions. At the turn, Barnett was one up, going out in :;••'. "Brown" played steady golf, winning live holes in succession, making him dormy r.iur. Uarnett pulled his opponent down to tt'ij up and two. "Brown" won on the '.'.'■ i «reon. three and one.
