The Auckland Lawn Tennis Association's annual father and son doubles tournament, and the veterans' doubles tournament, were played at Stanley .Street courts on Saturday afternoon. Rain early in the day caused the postponement of the schools tournament. The father and son doubles will be concluded -this week. Finality was reached in the " veterans' tournament, W. C. Morrin and K. Keith beating N. Angus and H. G. Thomson, 4—6, 6—5, C—o. It was a very even struggle throughout the first two sets, and the losers were unfortunate in lo9ii:g a couple of points in the eleventh game of the second set. To interclub matches in C grade were played during the afternoon. United beat Aratonga by eight matches to four, and St. Helier's beat Birkenhead and Northcote by seven matches to five. Brown on a bye; Stedman and Stedman beat Phelan and Phelan, 6—3, 6—l; T. and B. Macky beat R. and N. Angus, 6 —2, 6—5. Third Round. —Stedman and Stedman beat Macky "and Macky, 6—3, 6—2.
