WORST SINCE 1900. VAST AREAS ABLAZE. (Received 10.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. Reports from the Upper Murray and the southern tablelands indicate that this is the worst rear for bush fires since the 1900 big outbreaks. It is reported that on the ranges east of Wagga Wagga, at Holbrook, the fire has a front of nearly 14 miles. About 100,000 acres are burning near Jingellic.— (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
