The Forbury Park meeting is being concluded to-day when the >>*e\v Zealand Trotting Stakes, for three-year-olds is one of the attractions. The Sydney pacers Joe Aspro and Metal have arrived in Auckland, and are now located at Epsom. A filly by Key de Oro, which was taken across to Jaistralia some time ago also arrived back. With the near approach of the Otaliuhu meeting, training work at Alexandra Park will begin to liven up again. The majority of the horses at Epsom have been having an easy time since they raced at the Cup fixture, but they will need only a couple of fast workouts to put them right. OTAHUHU TROTTING CLUB. NOMINATIONS NEXT FRIDAY. The two days' programme of the Otahuhu club for the February meeting will have to receive attention from owners on or before Friday next when nominations close for all events. The bill-of-fare submitted is an excellent one, the prize money on the sixteen events running out to £7300. THE THAMES MEETING. A fixture which should be appreciated by owners of horses not quite good enough for dress circle company is the meeting of the Thames Trotting Club which takes place on March 20. Nominations close with the secretary, Mr. E. 0. Brownlee, or with Mr. E. L. Absolum, secretary of the Otahuhu Trotting Club on Friday next at 5 p.m. WAIEATO TROTTING CLUB. Distributing £2500 over the eight events carded for the one day meeting ■of the Waikato Trotting Club which will be held at Alexandra Park on Saturday, March 6, the programme which will be found in another column should be interesting to owners. The principal event is the Waikato Cup of £750, and a gold cup valued at 100 guineas. Nominations close with -the secretary, Mr. A. J. Smith, Hamilton, or with the Auckland Trotting Club on February 12, at 5 p.m.' WHANGAREI ANNUAL MEETING. The programme for the annual meeting of the Whangarei Trotting Club to be held on March 13 is announced. The Northland Cup is worth £210, in addition to which the winner gets a silvef oup. The President's Handicap carries £125, while the other events on the programme are worth from £80 to £90.
