DAMAGES FOR PLAINTIFF.
( AFTERMATH OF COLLISION. A XEGLTfiEXT DRIVER. An action arising out of a collision that happened on November 2~>, l!)2."i, at the corner of Market Koad and Kemuera Iviiiid, came before Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., when Xornian Milieu, of Auckland, motor truck driver and owner (Mr. Diekson), sued Kussell and Hobday, Ltd. (Mr. Could), to recover the sum of £24 IS/ special damagefi and £10 general damages. The plaintiir alleged that he was driving his motor truck round Market Road into Remuera Road, on his correct side, ami that the defendant, or his servant who j was driving the car at the time, was no«rligcnt in driving too quickly and trying Ito pass in front of the motor truck. After hearing a number of witnesses for both sides, his Worship said he was satisfied that the defendant's agent was negligent ill that when he saw the motor truck going round the corner he should have pulled up. The driver was a mere youth, and he had no doubt that the accident was caused through the speed at which he drove the motor car. Many accidents were now occurring through the speed at which young people were driving cars without realising the pace at which they were going. Judgment would be for the plaintiir for the sum of £21 18/ and £7 19/ costs.
