Colonel William Mitchell, who stood a court-martial and was convicted of insubordination for criticising the administration of the army, was suspended tor five years, lorfeiting promotion. On Wednesday he tendered his resignation. The decision as to whether it be accepted rests with Air. Coolidge, who on Alonday approved the sentence of the court-martial ; with certain modifications in regard to the suspension of the officer's pay and allowances.— (A. and N.Z.)
