JEWELLER BOBBED IN STREET.
CARS GIVE CHASE.
NEW YORK, January 12. Another daring daylight robbery has been successfully carried out in a crowd--led jSfew York street.
. During the busiest part of the aftei> noon a jeweller was taking uncut diamonds worth £20,000 to a bank for deposit in the safety vault. In Fifth Avenue he was attacked by three men, who seized the gems and rushed away in a motor car. Motorists and police who saw the theft joined in a wild chase which lasted an hour. But the robbers escaped with their booty.
