SCANDAL IN HUNGARY.
INVITATION TO OFFICER REFUSAL TO COMMIT SUICIDE. LONDON, January 12. The diplomatic correspondent of the "Daily Telegraph" says that perhaps the most interesting personality in the Hungarian banknote forgeries scandal is the Chief of Police, M. Nadossy. In accordance with tradition he wae given warning of his impending arrest. This was accompanied by a friendly intimation that he would do well to avoid disgrace by timely suicide. M. Nadossy, however, refused to take the hint. His attitude is said to have caused indignation in high military circles. —(A. and N.Z. Cable.)
