WHEATGROWERS ACTIVE.
WANT INCREASED FLOUB DUTY. THE GOVERNMENT CONDEMNED. (By Telegraph.—-Press Association.) CHRISTCHUKCH, this day. A meeting of wheat growers, held at> Darfield last night, decided to support a free market, with duty on wheat, and to press for increased duty on flour. Rangiora wheatgrowers held a similar meeting and decided to potest against the Government's action in commandeering this season's wheat at a price beloir the "equivalent to the imported cost of the wheat.
