A CHAMPION RETIRES. TRACBT HAS THROAT TROUBLE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, .Tuesday." l>. A. Tracey, champion athlete, has definitely decided to retire from the track owing to throat trouble. He will not' oppose Jackson. Scholz, - the Americansprinter. Tracey Iβ joint holder of the 220 yard* New Zealand championship and also holds the 440 yards Australasian championship title. He has held many other championships, while, standing to his credit are several university records and a Tasmariian record.
