MANUKAU BAR WORKABLE. A GOOD WEEK'S RAIN. Rain has fallen in Auckland every day this week: and since last Saturday the total fall, as recorded at the Albert Park observatory, has amounted to 1.10 inches. The month's rainfall is now 2.27 in, which is still an insh below the average for November, namely, 3.20 inches. A decided improvement took place in the weather during the night, and the westerly gale moderated considerably. In consequence of this the ArapaAva, which remained at anchor inside the Manukau Heads all day yesterday, Avas able to cross outwards for Waikato Heads at 7 a.m. to-day. The Waimca, for Port Nelson, crossed an hour and a-half lateV. A he.iA-y swell was still running,, but the bar Avas gradually moderating. A report from Greymouth stated that the bar there was still unworkable aud the steamer Waipori, which has been unable to take her departure for New Plymouth and Auckland, was still delayed.
