UNCERTIFICATED DEATHS.
INQUEST ON TWO MAORIS. (B,r Telegraph.—Press Association.) GISBORNE, Friday. The sudden deaths of two natives formed the subject of inquests held at Te Karaka this afternoon. The firs': is that of a Maori woman named Haeta, 42 years of age, whose death occurred on Wednesday night. It is stated that deceased, who worked with a shoaring gang, had been ailing some time, and that a fortnight ago she was ordered to hospital by a Gisborne doctor. His instruction, however, was not carried out. On Wednesday night her condition became worse, and a start was made for the hospital, but the woman died on the way. v The other death was that of an elderlynative named Hooper Christie, aged about 00. He, too, took ill on Sunday last and died early yesterday morning before medical attention could be obtained.
