DRASTIC ECONOMIES. SCRAPPING DOCKYARDS. (Received 11 a.m.) LONDON, November 12. Tha political correspondent of the "Times" says that Cabinet has confirmed the Admiralty's decision virtually scrapping the Rosyth and Pembroke dockyards. — ("Times.") The Rosyth naval base, in Fifeshire, ■was begun, in 1900, the Government having acquired land there. The enclosure of the area of the submarine base was completed in 1910. It is 30 miles from , the mouth of the firth. The Pembroke dockyard is on Milford Haven, in Wales. It was formerly called Pnter.
